Remember to study for the quiz. Use your notes in your duotang to make questions about the results in experiments and facts written down during class. (It is important to keep up-to-date and complete notes)
Don't forget to answer your questions... Here are some ideas to help you... do you know the answers? *Define... structure, strength, stability. *Name an animal built structure. Name a structure built by humans. *How do structures built by animals impact our environment over time? *Name three ways you can add strength or stability to a paper structure. Mrs. Gibb Congratulations to Ehab and Ali for winning the 'Northwood Knight' certificate in 3G. Way to go boys!!!
Remember to collect bridge building materials. We will be building our bridges here at school this year. The students will be expected to build a strong and stable bridge out of simple materials that will hold a load of about 500g. (large text book) Students can work alone, in pairs, or in a group of three. The students will be expected to apply ideas that have been taught in class to build their bridge. They will be required to fill out a booklet outlining their strategies (plans) and any changes made along the building process. When finished, the students will explain how their bridge was built and how it is strong and stable to the class. Good luck and happy building...... Mrs Gibb |
